NAIT Ooks Men's and Women's Soccer Teams win many awards plus silvers at ACAC Championships.
EDMONTON, Alta. – Megan Loyns wins ACAC Player of the Year at the weekend full of brass for NAIT's Soccer programs.
This past weekend both NAIT's men's and women's soccer teams competed in the ACAC Championship tournaments. Both teams came out of the tournament with Silver Medals, finishing 2nd in the ACAC. Both teams will now go and compete at the CCAA National Championships on November 7th.
Outside of the team awards, NAIT had a very successful weekend when it came to individual awards. Megan Loyns won ACAC Player of the Year as well as tournament MVP. Men's Head Coach Charles O'Toole and women's Head Coach Carole Holt both won ACAC Coach of the Year for their respective leagues. Oscar Miranda Ruiz rounded out the major awards being named rookie of the year.
