EDMONTON, ALTA.- Here's an update on where all of the NAIT Ooks teams stand heading into the second half of the season, including upcoming games, league leaders, milestone chasers and upcoming events hosted by NAIT.

Women's Basketball – 8-4 - T-2 - ACAC North Division

Upcoming Games – Jan.11 vs. King's – 6:00pm, Jan.12 @ King's - 6:00pm

• Leah Vandenboogaard leads the ACAC with 45 assists
• Jan.11^th will be Leah Vandenboogard's 100^th career game in the ACAC which she has played all of them as an Ooks
• Sydney Hurlburt is 14 3 pointers shy of the NAIT Career record of 161.

Men's Basketball – 6-6 - T-3 - ACAC North Division

Upcoming Games – Jan.11 vs. King's - 8:00pm, Jan.12 @ King's – 8:00pm

• Samson Cleare leads the ACAC with 118 rebounds
• Cleare is 42 rebounds short of the NAIT record for career rebounds (514).

Men's Hockey – 10-4 – 2^nd - ACAC

Upcoming Games – Jan.11 vs. RDC - 7:00pm, Jan.12 @ RDC – 7:00pm

• Brendan Jensen is second in the ACAC with .926 SV%
• Jake Mykitiuk needs 10 points to get to his 100^th career point.

Women's Hockey – 11-3-1 – 1^st - ACAC

Upcoming Games – Jan.17 @OC - 7:00pm, Jan.18 vs. OC – 6:00pm

• Verca Kuzelova is 4^th in the ACAC with 12 points
• Kuzelova has played the most games in NAIT Ooks history with 106
• Carlin Boey is eight games short of her 100^th career game.
• Brittney Savard is 10 points short of her 50^th career point.

Men's Volleyball – 10-4 – 2^nd - ACAC North Division

Upcoming Games – Jan.11 @ King's - 8:00pm, Jan.12 vs. King's – 8:00pm

• Mitch Lewington is 5^th in the ACAC with 8.32 assists per set

Women's Volleyball– 1-13 – 7th - ACAC North Division

Upcoming Games – Jan.11 @ King's – 6:00pm , Jan.12 vs. King's - 6:00pm

Curling – Men 6-0 (1^st), Women 4-2(T2), Mixed 3-2(T3)

Upcoming Tournament – Jan.25-26^th – Winter Regional-  @Avonair Curling Club

Badminton – 183 points – 1^st in ACAC

Upcoming Tournament – Jan.13^th – ACAC Tournament #2 - @NAIT

Upcoming Events

NAIT Ooks Hockey Gala – Feb.19^th – The 3^rd annual Hockey Gala will be in Ernest's Dining Room (10701-118 Ave.) at 6:30 pm. The event will include stand up reception and silent auction. Early bird tickets are $100 (before Jan.18^th) $150 for general admission, visit www.nait.ca/ernests for tickets. Net proceeds for the event go to the NAIT men's and women's hockey programs.
