The Men's Futsal Team is gearing up for an exciting new season. Last year, they finished third in the North Division with a strong 6-3-1 record.
This year, as always, the team is determined to return to the championships. Head Coach Jeff Paulus shares his vision:
"We always aspire to win games, whether in soccer or futsal. Our goal is to qualify for the futsal championships in March and then see how things unfold from there."
With a talented roster built largely from the soccer program, the team boasts strong chemistry. This season, they're also welcoming a fresh addition, Gabriel Marchelek from Brazil, who brings valuable experience with a futsal background.
Despite their strengths, the team faces the challenges that come with transitioning into a new season.
"Futsal is a different sport than soccer, so the challenge is always for the players to adapt to the rules of the game," Coach Paulus explained. He also highlighted the demanding tournament schedules and limited recovery time as his biggest concerns for keeping players healthy.
The Men's Futsal Team will kick off their season on January 17th against The King's University Eagles.
