The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Ooks hosted the second ACAC badminton tournament on January 22. The schools that participated were the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) Trojans, the King's University (TKU) Eagles, the Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder and the NAIT Ooks.
The day began with Men's and Women's singles. In the Men's Singles, we saw Narayan Ramdhani (TKU) take home first place, winning straight twos along the way, defeating Sanskar Chopra (SAIT). The Ooks' own Davis Wong played in the third-place match but came short of Anthony Olson (TKU).

We saw Johnna Rymes (CUE) take home first place in the Women's singles after facing Cecilia Wolski (TKU) in the finals. NAIT Ooks' Ivy Ung took home third after playing Makayla Basque (TKU).

Following the singles matches, we watched the doubles matches take place in the afternoon. NAIT Ooks' Anirudh Sharma & Davis Wong took home first after playing Jason Chiu & Sanskar Chopra (SAIT) in the finals.

Jasleen Kaur and Johnna Rymes (CUE) took home first place in Women's Doubles for the second time this year after competing against Taylor Burton and Carmen Wong (SAIT). The NAIT Ooks' Noel Do and Sylvie Bibeau took home third after playing Madison Greenwood and Kristianna Ladine Navarro (SAIT)

We watched the mixed doubles teams take to the court to end the day. Narayan Ramdhani and Cecilia Wolski (TKU) took home first after winning twos through it all. Anirudh Sharma and Ivy Ung from the Ooks won third place after winning a close game against Jonathan Su and Jasleen Kaur (CUE).
