Edmonton, AB - Samson Cleare scored a game-high 24 points and added a game-high 10 rebounds in 26 minutes played as the NAIT Ooks topped the Lakeland Rustlers 111-75 in ACAC men's basketball action Friday night at the NAIT Gymnasium.
Prentice Gardner and Lual Ateam led the way for the Rustlers with 17 points each in 20 and 26 minutes played in a losing cause.
The Ooks came out strong in the first half, outscoring the Rustlers 48-22.
With this win the Ooks record improves 11-6 and move up to the 3rd place in the North Division of the ACAC, while the Rustlers fall to 11-6 and fall to the 4th place of the North Division of the ACAC. Rematch of the weekend series will take place tomorrow Saturday February 3rd at 8:00pm when the Ooks travel to visit the Rustlers in Lloydminister.
