Dinter commits to men's basketball
April 21, 2020
EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks men's basketball program is proud to announce the commitment of Dante Dinter for the 2020-2021 season.
Dante began his basketball career in his home town of Tofield, Alberta. His hard work earned him an opportunity at Taylor Made Prep Academy in Pensacola, Florida. After one year at the prep school, the 6"2' guard returned to Alberta where he spent two seasons at Keyano College. In his second season, Dinter averaged 10.5 ppg, was second in the ACAC with 68 three-point makes and fourth in three-point shooting accuracy at 44.7 percent.
After one season away from competitive basketball, Dinter will return to the ACAC for the NAIT Ooks during the 2020-2021 campaign.
"There's no denying Dante is a 'sharpshooter,' but he'll also bring a terrific work ethic and approach to the game. Those qualities are very welcome to our roster," Ooks head coach Slav Kornik said.
"By all accounts, Dante is also a wonderful young man who will represent our basketball program and NAIT with class."
Dinter is the latest in a string of players who have committed to the Ooks roster for the 2020-2021 school year.
