EDMONTON, AB - Francis Menard's 2nd period goal proved to be the winner as the NAIT Ooks Men's Hockey team topped the MacEwan Griffins on Saturday at NAIT Arena, to sweep the weekend series

The Ooks scored 5 unanswered goals to begin the game, goals coming from Brandon Ralph, Jake Mykitiuk, Francis Menard, Jordan Davies & Tanner Dunkle. The Griffins answered with two 3rd period goals coming from Tyler Morrison and Brett Smythe, but it was not enough.

The Ooks were outshot 38-35, but Nathan Park stood tall once making 36 saves and securing his 4th win of the season. 

With this win, NAIT remains first in the ACAC with a record of 6-0-0, while the Griffins fall to 2-4-0. The Ooks now head into a bye week before facing the Concordia Thunder on November 3.
