Edmonton, AB - Colton Waltz's second-period powerplay goal proved to be the winner as the NAIT Ooks defeated Portage Voyageurs 6-3 Thursday night in Lac La Biche.
The Ooks had six different players find the back of the net, with Tanner Dunkle, Colton Waltz, and Ryan Piche all having 2 point nights. Benjamin Parent had a two-goal night for the Voyageurs in the losing effort. NAIT outshot Portage 42-17 in the commanding victory.
With this win, NAIT improves to 8-1-1 and remain first in the ACAC, while the Voyageurs fall to 1-7-0-1 and remain in the last place. The two teams will rematch Saturday night at NAIT; puck drop is at 6:00 pm/
