EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks men's hockey team will open up their 2017-2018 playoff run as they host the Augustana Vikings in game one of the best of three semifinal series, on Friday night at 9:00 pm in the NAIT Arena

The Ooks are coming off of a first-round bye after finishing first in the regular season with a record of 21-3-3-1. The Vikings are coming off a quarter-final sweep of the SAIT Trojans, after finishing 5th in the regular season with a record of 17-8-3-0. NAIT swept Augustana 4-0 in the season series and will be looking to continue to ride that momentum into the series against the hot Vikings. The Ooks will have to go through the first round without the league's leading scorer Jake Mykitiuk, as he is serving a three-game suspension which he received in the last regular season game.

Game two will take place in Camrose on Saturday at 6:00 pm, with the two teams returning back to NAIT on Sunday at 6:30 pm should a game three be needed.
