Edmonton, Alta. - Tanner Younghans' goal at the end of the 2nd period proved to be the winner as the NAIT Ooks defeated the MacEwan Griifins 3-2 in game 2 of the ACAC Men's Hockey Final Series.
The NAIT Ooks opened up the scoring in the second period with a goal from Brett Magee followed shortly by another from Isaac Ferrah. Late in the 2nd period Tanner Younghans capitalized on a Griffins turnover and scored on a slick five-hole goal past Marc Olivier Daigle to make it 3-0. The Griiffins responded in the 3rd period with a pair of goals from Stefan Danielson and Ryan Benn but it was not enough as the Ooks held on for a 3-2 victory in game 2. The Ooks outshot the Griffins 43-36 in the victory.
Game 3 of the ACAC Men's Hockey Final Series will be tomorrow, Sunday March 18th at 6:30 pm at the NAIT Arena where a team will be crowned ACAC men's hockey Champion.
