Bio

Coach Shawn Belle was born and raised in Edmonton. Belle comes to NAIT with coaching experience from the Junior A level where Shawn served as the assistant coach with the Sherwood Park Crusaders Junior A Hockey Team. Shawn also has served as an on ice lead instructor at the Vimy Ridge Academy Hockey Program where he worked with students ranging from grade 4 to grade 12.

Coach Belle has an extensive professional playing resume. He played professionally for over 10 seasons which includes time in the National Hockey League with Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadians, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche. He also played in the American Hockey League with 405 games played as well as 4 seasons in Europe with Adler Manheim, Farjestad BK and Dusseldorfer EG.
