EDMONTON – The Ooks men's soccer team is competing at the CCAA Championship in Nanaimo, British Columbia beginning Nov.8th. NAIT will be entering the tournament as the 4th seed in Pool B, after losing to the Keyano Huskies in the finals the ACAC Championship. The Ooks will face the Durham Lords who are the 1st seed in pool B after winning the OCAA Championship. Kickoff for the Ooks quarter-final match is set for 3:00pm (PST) Wednesday.
At the CCAA Men's Soccer Awards Banquet Tuesday night, ACAC North Coach of the Year and Charles O'Toole of the NAIT Ooks received the honours of CCAA Coach of the Year. NAIT also had ACAC Rookie of the Year Oscar Miranda honoured as a CCAA All-Canadian.
QUICK FACTS: The Ooks men's soccer team ended the regular season with 27 points and a 9-1-0 record. Outscoring their opponents 25-5.
