CALGARY, ALTA., (March 2, 2018) — The NAIT Ooks defeated the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder 72-65 in their consolation semifinal Friday afternoon at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Basketball Championship at SAIT.
Kika Greenlee scored 14 points and five assists while teammate Sydney Hurlburt added 10 points to lead the Ooks to victory. Sofia Lucadell responded with 19 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort for the Thunder
Greenlee was named NAIT's Earl's Kitchen and Bar Player of the Game. Lucadello was named Concordia's Player of the Game.
The victory sends NAIT to the consolation final tomorrow evening at 1pm against Olds College. The Thunder falls to 0-2 for the event, and are eliminated.
