Edmonton, AB - TaylorBeck's goals in the first minute of overtime proved to be winner as the SAIT Trojans defeated the NAIT Ooks 6-5 in ACAC women's hockey action Friday night at the NAIT Arena.
The Ooks goals were scored by Brittney Savard, Shae Bilodeau, Davina McLeod (x2), and Denni Sutherland, respectively, while Andie Romanuik, Madison Casavant, Brittany McDonald (x2), Shae Lee Dolan, and Taylor Beck replied in a winning cause for the Trojans.
Overall, the Ooks outshot the Trojans by 37-24 shots on net.
With this loss, NAIT falls to 10-2-1 and fall down to the second place in the ACAC, while the Trojans improve to 2-10-1 and remain last in the ACAC. The rematch of the weekend series will take place tomorrow Saturday January 6th, at 6:00pm at SAIT.
