NAIT Ooks Women's Hockey & the Athletics Department invite applicants for the part-time position of Assistant Women's Varsity Hockey Coach at NAIT.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to the following
Under the direct supervision of the Women's Head Hockey Coach (Deanna Martin), this position will assist with operations of the hockey program. Potential duties include:
- Assisting the Head Coach with the organization, administration, and implementation of the women's hockey program
- Assist the head coach with practice sessions for the women's hockey team
- Assist the head coach with game day planning and implementation, including special events and promotions
- Assist the head coach with team & player development, including yearly planning, skill sessions, and player meetings
- Assist the head coach with recruitment
- Assist the head coach with day to day administration (i.e., data entry)
- Lead or assist with video sessions: team and individual
- Lead or assist with the mentorship of first-year student-athletes
- Lead or assist with academic monitoring for the women's hockey program, including eligibility & scholarship requirements
- Lead or assist with the purchasing and inventory of hockey equipment and supplies
- Lead or assist with the coordination of community events/activities to help build and maintain the strong NAIT Ooks presence in the community (at NAIT & externally)
- Lead or assist fundraising initiatives to further enhance the women's hockey program
Qualifications
- Post- Secondary Education is preferred
- NCCP Coaching Certification, High-Performance Level 1 (or working towards) is preferred
- Coaching experience: post-secondary or another elite level (i.e., AAA) hockey is preferred, along with experience coaching female hockey
- Post- Secondary playing experience would be considered an asset

Remuneration: This is a contractual position, starting August 20, 2016, to March 20, 2016.
At the minimum, the selected candidate must be available to attend team practices (4:30 pm & 6:30 pm start times) and games.
The salary range is $3,500-$20,000 depending on education, experience, and availability.
