This women-only self-defense session offers a welcoming, supportive space to learn practical skills, build confidence, and have fun while prioritizing personal safety. Led by a member of NAIT Protective Services team, the session focuses on realistic scenarios, awareness, and simple techniques designed to help you feel more confident in everyday situations.
Participants will explore:
- Awareness and prevention strategies for everyday situations
- Verbal skills to set boundaries and seek help
- Basic defensive movements and counter-strikes using padded equipment
- Ground safety, including how to fall and get up safely
- Using surroundings and everyday items for protection
- Developing a confident, resilient mindset
No prior experience is needed. The session emphasizes choice, comfort, and safety, allowing participants to engage at their own pace while learning skills that support personal confidence and empowerment. Click here to register!
