(CALGARY, AB, Friday, March 13, 2020) - In light of the COVID-19 situation and the Alberta Health restrictions banning large group gatherings, the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference has suspended all competitions effective immediately (Friday, March 13/20).
This decision will impact the ACAC Women's and Men's Hockey playoffs currently underway, the ACAC Indoor Track Championships scheduled for March 21-22, and the previously suspended ACAC Futsal Championships.
The ACAC will continue to monitor this situation and abide by all public health directives. The league will circulate further information as appropriate.
The ACAC regrets the impact of this decision on the athletes, coaches and host institutions who have committed considerable time and effort this season. However, the health and safety of all are of paramount importance.
