On Saturday, the teams faced off against King's University once more.
The men's team fought valiantly but unfortunately came up short, losing 1-0 in a nail-biting contest. The match was a fierce battle, with both sides relentlessly pursuing every opening in a bid to score. Both goalkeepers came up big, each earning their respective player of the game title.
The women's team celebrated a hard-fought victory, triumphing 1-0. Alise Rahime delivered the win to her team by scoring the game's only goal. Her precision and poise under pressure were vital in securing the win. On the defensive side, goalkeeper Carly Speelman made three crucial saves that kept the Eagles at bay. Both teams hit the road this upcoming weekend to face off against the Keyano Huskies.
Golf
The Golf team hit the greens for round one of the ACAC Golf Championships on Sunday at the Alberta Springs Golf Course. It was a great showing for the team, who will be continuing to compete over Monday and Tuesday as well.
The men's side saw Tanner Visser leading the rankings, standing in third place with four under. The competition has been close, with Mason Gorski tied for 6th place with three other players, all sitting at +1, followed by Brophy Dunne with +2. Together, the team's strong performances carried them to a second-place finish at the end of day one.
