The NAIT Ooks women's hockey team is gearing up for their semifinal playoff match against Red Deer Polytechnic, and Head Coach Brendan Jensen has emphasized the importance of a strong, cohesive effort on both ends of the ice. 

"We know that playing against RDP will be crucial for us to defend well and take advantage of opportunities on special teams," Jensen said. His words reflect the team's strategy heading into the game, underscoring the need for solid defensive play while capitalizing on any power-play chances that may come their way. 

The Ooks have shown impressive growth and cohesion throughout the season, and Jensen is confident that this unity will play a key role in their playoff push. "Throughout the season, the group has come together well, and we will need to play for each other, using that cohesion to help us perform at a high level," he explained. 

While individual skill will undoubtedly play a part, Jensen's focus remains on the fundamentals. "Our main focus is being diligent in our habits and daily controllables. If we can do that, we will be successful." The Ooks will be aiming to stay disciplined and control the game through consistent effort and attention to detail.
