Bio
Adika Peter-McNeilly grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, and went on to star at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (2013–2017). During his time with the Rams, he was a key contributor to back-to-back OUA Championships in 2015 and 2016, while also capturing two U Sports bronze medals (2015, 2016) and a silver medal (2017) at the national Final 8 Championship. His standout collegiate career was highlighted by being named a U Sports First Team All-Canadian in 2017 and representing Canada at the 2015 FISU Games.
Following graduation, Peter-McNeilly embarked on a seven-year professional career in Europe, competing in Spain, Germany, Romania, and France. Among his accomplishments overseas, he became a Basketball Champions League medalist in 2018. Returning home to Canada, he joined the Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), where he played a pivotal role in back-to-back championships in 2020 and 2021. He still holds the franchise record for most games played and ranks second all-time in points scored. His impact was further recognized in 2021 when he earned the CEBL Sixth Man of the Year award.
Now entering his second season as head coach of the NAIT Ooks men’s basketball program, Peter-McNeilly brings a wealth of playing experience, leadership, and championship pedigree to the sidelines. His journey from Scarborough to the international stage reflects the drive and passion he now instills in the student-athletes he leads at NAIT.
