EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks badminton team is in second place following the first ACAC tournament of the 2019-2020 season. 

Roymond Kim and Luc-Ly Nguyen defeated their fellow teammates, Smit Patel and Tyler Walsh, to finish first in men's doubles. Samantha Hsu and Eyota Kwan fell to Concordia's Jasleen Kaur and Johnna Rymes in the women's doubles final to finish second, while Kaitlyn Gee and Connie Juang brought home a third-place finish. In mixed doubles play, Eyota Kwan and Roymond Kim defeated Braxton Wong and Takeisha Wang to take home first place. Smit Patel also brought home a third-place finish in men's double.
