The NAIT Ooks men's curling team won bronze at the CCAA National Curling Championships over the weekend.
Fredericton, N.B.- The NAIT Ooks men's curling team earned a bronze medal for the second consecutive year at the CCAA Curling National Championships this past weekend in Fredericton.
Skipped by Trygg Jensen the Ooks made it out of round robin play with a 5-2 record which placed them in third place. From there they advanced to the semifinal where they fell to their Edmonton rival Concordia Thunder. In the Bronze medal match, the Ooks scored in bunches defeating the Fanshawe Falcons 9-5 earning bronze.
The women fell just short in round-robin play. The end up missing the medal round by a pregame rock throwing tiebreaking procedure due to a 4-way tie for third place, ending their tournament.
Jonah Tobinski and Madison Graham were named to their respective All-Tournament teams.
