EDMONTON, ALTA. - Samson Cleare recorded 19 rebounds to become the all-time rebound leader in NAIT history, but his Ooks fell to the GPRC Wolves 79-78 in overtime in ACAC men's basketball action on Friday night in the NAIT Gymnasium.
It was a very back and forth game from start to finish. Both teams took turns leading right down to the last buzzer. In the end, it was the GPRC Wolves who outlasted the Ooks to take the game 79-78 in overtime.
During the game, Samson Cleare recorded his 515th career rebound, which makes him the all-time rebound leader in NAIT history, surpassing Sebastian Cava.
"We were unlucky. We had a couple missed shots, missed defensive assignments and missed defensive rebounds. We could have won. We will need to regroup for tomorrow," said Ooks' head coach, Mike Connolly.
