EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks men's basketball team is proud to announce the commitment of Stian Gleddie to the program for the 2020-2021 season.
Stian Gleddie is currently completing grade 12 at Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton. At 6"4', Stian not only has size, but a very good overall skill set and excellent basketball IQ. After suffering a calf muscle tear early in his grade 12 season, which caused him to miss several weeks, he returned to the Thunderbirds lineup to average 15 pts and 8 rebs per game. NAIT head coach Slav Kornik is extremely excited to have Stian join the Ooks program and looking forward to helping him evolve as a person and player.
"Stian is coach's type player. He has a high basketball IQ. He is a Swiss Army knife as he is capable of playing many roles on a team. He is a good shooter with pretty good handles. He is not the most athletic person on the floor but he makes up for it with his intelligence and effort," said Ross Sheppard Thunderbirds head coach Dave Youngs.
