EDMONTON, AB - Tanner Dunkle scored a pair of goals as the NAIT Ooks men's hockey team shutout the MacEwan Griffins 3-0 on Friday, October 20th in NAIT Arena.
The Ooks goals were scored in the first and third period by Jake Mykitiuk and Tanner Dunkle (x2), while Nathan Park recorded his first shutout of the season in goal for the Blue and Gold.
The shots were even at 36 a piece, but goaltending proved to be the decider.
With this win, NAIT extends their winning streak to 5 in a row and remain undefeated and in first place in the ACAC, while the Griffins fall to 2-3-0 and placed fifth in the ACAC. The rematch of the battle of 109 st. will take place Saturday night at MacEwan.
