CAMROSE, Alta. - Matt McNeil's 2nd-period goal proved to be the winner as the NAIT Ooks defeated the Augustana Vikings 4-1 and sweep the series 2-0.
The Augustana Vikings opened up the scoring with a lone first-period goal. NAIT responded with a pair of goals in the second with goals from Colton Waltz and Matt McNeil to take a 2-1 lead heading into the third period. it was all Ooks from there on out, as Jared Hauptman and Ty Stanton potted a goal each in the third period.
The Ooks will now play the winner of the MacEwan Griffins and Red Deer College Kings in the ACAC Finals with game one taking place next Friday at 7:00 pm in the NAIT Arena.
