EDMONTON, Alta. - The men's hockey team and head coach Tim Fragle would like to announce the hiring of Scott Fellnermayr to the position of assistant coach.
"We are excited to add Scott in this role with our hockey program," said Fragle. "Scott understands what it means to be a part of the NAIT Ooks' program. His experience as a player & coach will help him in the lead assistant coach position."
Fellnermayr played for the NAIT Ooks for four seasons, 2012-16. He graduated from NAIT in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. During his time with the Ooks, he won three ACAC championships and played in 139 games, accumulating 134 points posting 63 goals and 71 assists. Scott captained the team for two seasons and led them to an undefeated 36-0 season in 2015-16. The following season Fellnermayr went on to play professionally with the Huntsville Havoc (SPHL) where he posted 29 points in 50 games. He has spent the last two seasons as the assistant/video coach for the Ooks.

I want to contribute to the winning culture and success that I had the privilege of being a part of as a player and coach," said Fellnermayr. "I look forward to working alongside Tim and the other coaches. I want to give back to the program and help the student-athletes as best I can." Fellnermayr will be working alongside Scott Cassels (assistant coach) and Sean Baxter (video coach) who both return to the Ooks for their fourth seasons.
