The NAIT Ooks came away with a 4-1 victory against the Augustana Vikings this past Saturday.
All four goals were scored by newcomer Ali Musse who was also named Player of the Game. NAIT got off to a good start applying early pressure. In the 7th minute, they took the lead on Musse's first of the match. However, the Ooks got a little too complacent which allowed UAA to tie the game a few min's later. NAIT re-established the lead once again on Musse's second of the game on a feed from rookie Jared Larson. It was all Ooks following that. They made seven changes in the second half and were able to increase their lead, showcasing their depth.
Alongside Ali Musse for Player of the Game, was Augustana's, Jadene Norton.
The Ooks will travel across Edmonton for the next match, to face The King's University Eagles September 16, at 2:00 pm. The Vikings next game will be September, 10th at Concordia University of Edmonton, where they will face the Thunder.
