Sherwood Park, AB - Joseph Costouros's goal in the 82nd minute proved to be winner as the NAIT Ooks defeated the Concordia Thunder 2-1 in ACAC Men's Soccer action Saturday September 23rd at Emerald Hills.
The Ooks goals were scored in the 79th and 82nd minute by Ali Musse and Joseph Costouros, respectively, while Mas Arya scored late in added time in a losing cause for the Thunder.
Overall, the Ooks outshot the Thunder 15-9. While the Ooks also having ten corner kicks to the Thunder's one.
Player of the Game honours went to Zach Kaiser for the Nait Ooks, who showed his leadership on the field and Jolly Kopoanomo for the visiting Thunder who was solid on the defensive end.
With this win, NAIT improves to 3-0-0 to remain 2nd place in the North Division of the ACAC, while the Thunder falls to 2-3-0 and remain 3rd place in the North Division. The Ooks next match is against Keyano at Emerald Hills, Sunday September 24th at 3:00pm.
