EDMONTON, Alta. – With a playoff spot already clinched, the NAIT Ooks are looking to use the last couple of regular season games to fine tune their game heading into the ACAC volleyball championships in a couple of weeks. That included a Friday night matchup with the Grande Prairie Wolves at NAIT Gymnasium, ultimately won by the Ooks by a score of 3 sets to 1.
Led on the night by the many kills of Spencer Fisher and Devon Klein, the Ooks were able to take control of Friday night's matchup and come away with the victory and bounce back from a loss in their last outing against the Keyano Huskies.
The third set saw the Ooks making many substitutions after gaining a large lead, only to have the Wolves gain some momentum and battle back to take the third set 25-23.
A bounce back in the fourth set from the Ooks saw them put the finishing touches on the win and head into Saturday's game hoping to start a new winning streak.
The win puts the Ooks record to 9-1 at home and improve their season series against the Wolves to 3-0.
The teams will rematch on Saturday February 15, 2020 at NAIT Gymnasium
