Edmonton, AB - 3rd year guard Sydney Hurlburt scored a team-high 22 points and added 1 block as the NAIT Ooks topped the Keyano Huskies 70-66 in ACAC women's basketball action Saturday afternoon in the NAIT Gymnasium.
Huskies' Augusta Kievisaite led her team with 13 points in a losing cause.
The Huskies outrebounded the Ooks 54-39 but turnovers hurt them as they had 16 turnovers leading to 16 points for the Ooks.
With this win, the Ooks record improves to 3-1 and remain 2nd in the North Division of the ACAC, while the Huskies fall to 2-2 and remain 3rd in the standings. The Ooks next game will be Friday, October 27th as they go on the road and visit the Lakeland Rustlers.
