EDMONTON, ALTA. - Sydney Hurlburt dropped 27 points to lead the NAIT Ooks to a 78-61 victory over the GPRC Wolves in ACAC women's basketball action on Friday night in the NAIT Gymnasium.
The Ooks came out flying, outscoring the Wolves 40 - 23 in the opening half. NAIT Pulled even further away in the third quarter, as they dropped 28 points to GPRC's 19. In the final quarter, NAIT would get a little sloppy on the defensive side of the ball. As a result, the Wolves were able to make a push outscoring the Ooks 19-10 in the final frame, but it would not be enough as NAIT took the game 78-61.
"We shot well, our offense was crisp, but we were sloppy unorganized and undisciplined on the defensive side of the ball," said Ooks' head coach, Todd Warnick.
