EDMONTON, ALTA. - Sydney Hurlburt made her 162nd career three-pointer setting the record for most in NAIT history, as the NAIT Ooks defeated the GPRC Wolves 69-50 in ACAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon in the NAIT Gymnasium.
The Ooks came out flying once again on Saturday afternoon, outscoring the Wolves 41 - 15 in the opening half. NAIT Pulled even further away in the third quarter, as they dropped 23 points to GPRC's 10. In the final quarter, the Wolves were able to make a push outscoring the Ooks 23-5 in the final frame, but it would not be enough as NAIT took the game 69-50.
"We played better defense early. I was happy with how we shared the ball today," said Ooks' head coach, Todd Warnick.

The Big Picture
With today's win, the NAIT Ooks move into 14-7 into a tie for first place in the ACAC north division with the Augustana Vikings who will be playing the King's Eagles this evening. The GPRC Wolves fall to 1-20 and remain in seventh.

NAIT will now face the Lakeland Rustlers in a home and home series next weekend while GPRC will play host to the King's Eagles.
