EDMONTON, ALTA. - Fifth-year senior Leah Vandenboogaard put up 12 points in her final home game however, it was not enough as the NAIT Ooks fell to the Lakeland Rustlers 53-48 on Saturday night in the NAIT gymnasium.
NAIT came out of the gate strong, but after a lackluster second quarter, they would find themselves in a hole which they were unable to climb out of.
Saturday night was seniors night for the NAIT Ooks. Leah Vandenboogaard was honoured as she completes her fifth and final season for the Ooks.

The Big Picture
The NAIT Ooks now fall to fourth place (14-8) in the ACAC north division, while the Lakeland Rustlers sit in a tie for second with Keyano Huskies at 15-7. It will now come down to the last weekend to determine who gets the fourth and final playoff spot.
What's Next?
The NAIT Ooks will head up to Fort McMurray to face the Keyano Huskies, while Lakeland will take part in a home and home series with the Augustana Vikings.
