EDMONTON, Alta. - For the second straight night, the NAIT Ooks women's dominated the GPRC Wolves. The Ooks defeated the Wolves 86-34 on Saturday afternoon in the NAIT Gymnasium.
NAIT came out flying once again tonight. They played solid defense keeping the Wolves to less than 8 points in every quarter except the last. Not only was the defense clicking, but the offense was also buzzing. fifth-year guard Sydney Hurlburt posted 23 points for the second straight game. Mackenzie Emmerson added 17 points and Allie Hunder put up 15.
"Today's game was good, we were able to get a little bit deeper into our bench to get some of the younger players some experience. The things we did well, we did exceptionally well. We still have some things to clean up before next weekend when we face a strong Lakeland team," said Ooks' head coach Todd Warnick. "This weekend was a good confidence builder, but we need to stay grounded and understand the areas that we need to improve on."
