EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks women's basketball team 64-59 on Saturday night in the NAIT Gymnasium.
The Thunder jumped out to an early 20-15 lead in the first quarter. The Ooks responded, narrowing the deficit to just one, trailing 35-34 at halftime. In the second half, NAIT continued to push as they outscored Concordia 19-12 in the third quarter, giving them a six-point lead heading into the final quarter. The Thunder pushed back trailing 58-57 with just over two minutes remaining in the game. The Ooks defense then took over as they only allowed Concordia to score two points in the final two and half minutes, leading them to a 64-59 victory, sweeping the weekend series.
