Head Coach Todd Warnick enters his ninth season with the Ooks, posting a 129 win - 56 loss record (.700) in his time at NAIT. Over the past eight seasons, Coach Warnick has transformed the NAIT Women’s Basketball program bringing home the first ever ACAC Championship in program history in the 2015-16 season as well as a CCAA Bronze Medal at the 2015-16 CCAA National Championships. In addition to the championship, his teams have also won a pair of ACAC bronze medals in 2012-13 and 2013-14. As a result, NAIT has been among the elite programs in the ACAC under his guidance.
An Alberta product with 16 years of head coaching experience at the CCAA level, Warnick started his coaching odyssey as an assistant with the Lethbridge University Pronghorn women in the CIS and filled a similar post with the Lethbridge College Kodiaks of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
From there, he moved to Nanaimo and became head coach of the men's program at Vancouver Island University. During his five-year term in British Columbia, Warnick led his team to men's silver in the 2004 British Columbia Colleges Athletic Association playoffs and a bronze medal in the Canadian college national championships shortly afterward.
In 2006, Warnick came home to Alberta as head coach of the Concordia Thunder. He was named coach of the year in 2007 and led his hard-working team to the ACAC championship one year later in 2008.
