Edmonton, AB - Amanda Murray's goal at 19:37 of the first period proved to be the winner as the MacEwan Griffins defeated the NAIT Ooks 2-0 in ACAC women's hockey action Saturday night at NAIT Arena.
The Griffins goals were scored by Amanda Murray and Shanya Shwetz, while Natalie Bender recorded her first shutout of the season for the Griffins.
Overall, the Ooks outshot the Griffins 34-15.
With this loss, NAIT falls to 1-1-0 and sit fourth in the ACAC, while the Griffins improve to 3-1-0, first in the ACAC. The Ooks next game is at Olds College, Thursday, October 19th at 7:00 pm.
