Edmonton, AB - Livia Lucova, Davina McLeod, Carlin Boey, Megan Leblanc (x2), Kendra Hanson, Alica Mihalikova all scored during the NAIT Ooks' decisive 7-4 victory over the SAIT Trojans on Friday night in ACAC women's hockey action at the NAIT Arena.
The Ooks scored in all three periods of the game but Megan Leblanc's second goal on the second period turned out to be the winning goal. Scotia Bellavance, Madison Casavant, Tash Scantlebury, and Keely Somers all scored in a losing cause for the Trojans.
Overall, the Ooks outshot the Trojans by 47-12.
With this win, NAIT improves to 5-2 and remains third in the ACAC, while the Trojans fall to 1-8-1 and remain last in the ACAC. Rematch of the weekend series will take place tomorrow at 7:00pm when the Ooks head to Calgary and visit the Trojans.
