Edmonton, AB - Kendra Hanson's goal 8 seconds into 2OT proved to be winner as the NAIT Ooks defeated the MacEwan Griffins 3-2 in ACAC women's hockey action Friday night at the NAIT Arena.
The Ooks goals were scored by Megan Leblanc, Livia Lucova and Kendra Hanson, while Jessi Rampton and Chantal Ricker replied in a losing cause for the Griffins.
Overall, the Ooks outshot the Griffins by 35-27 shots on net.
With this win, NAIT improves to 7-2 and remain second place in the ACAC, while the Griffins fall to 8-0-3 and remain first in the ACAC. The rematch of the weekend series will be tomorrow when the Ooks visit the Griffins at 6:00pm
