Hannah Derochers and Kadey Rosie have committed to the NAIT Ooks women's hockey team for the 2019-2020 season.
EDMONTON, ALTA. - The NAIT Ooks women's hockey team is proud to announce the commitment of Hannah Derochers and Kadey Rosie for the 2019-2020 season.
Hannah Derochers (left), a forward from Baldur, Manitoba, joins the Ooks from the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy where she has played for the last two seasons.
"Hannah has been on our radar since September, we got her on campus a few weeks ago and had a great tour and visit to better understand what it was Hannah wanted to accomplish in College and her athletic career. We feel Hannah will fit right into the great group of student-athletes we have at NAIT. She plays a smart game with a great work ethic and is an incredible person to top it off."
Kadey Rosie (right), a forward from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, joins NAIT after playing the last two seasons with the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs Midget AAA team.
"Kadey consistently works hard on-ice, off the ice and in the classroom. Over the course of recruiting her we identified some key areas she will help us with. Her ability, skill, fearlessness and team-first attitude will be welcomed attributed when she joins the Ooks next season."
The two players will finish out the season with their respective teams, and they will be enrolled at NAIT for the Fall 2019 school term, where they will begin both their collegiate student-athlete career's.
