EDMONTON, Alta. – Marissa Webb scored twice to lead the NAIT Ooks women's soccer team to a 5-0 victory over the King's Eagles in their home opener on Saturday afternoon at the Strathcona Athletic Park.
The defending ACAC Champions came out strong in the first half netting four goals. Marissa Webb opened up the scoring early on a penalty kick. Vanessa Minckler scored shortly after, followed by Aoi Komori and Melissa Webb who scored her second of the game.
In the second half, the Ooks showed strong defense holding the Eagles scoreless, while Aoi Komori added one more goal (her second of the game) giving the Ooks a commanding 5-0 lead which would end up being the final score.
When asked about the game, Ooks' head coach Carole Holt said: "We played well in the first half. In the second, we were able to make some changes and still generate quality chances."

What's Next:
The NAIT Ooks will now host the Lakeland Rustlers tomorrow at noon. The King's Eagles don't play until next Sunday when they will host the Portage Voyageurs.
