On Sunday afternoon at Edmonton Scottish, the NAIT Ooks beat the Lakeland Rustlers in the north game four playoff game. The final score was 3-1 after 90:00 minutes of play.

The NAIT Ooks struck early when Rachel Kraft scored at the 3:00 minute mark, assisted by Tonie Burse and Gracie Hausch.

The Lakeland Rustlers had two corner kicks in a row but couldn't capitalize on either of them.

The Ooks struck again in the 11th minute with a goal from Hausch, assisted by Burse and Mawhinney.

NAIT Ooks forward Toni Burse had an incredible chance halfway through the first half, but Lakeland Rustlers goalkeeper, Nicole Pruim, came up big for her team to shut her down.

It was 2-0 NAIT Ooks at the half.

The Lakeland Rustlers came out hard in the second half; Megan Hockley and Kyla Franks had a great two-on-one opportunity but were shut down by the NAIT Ooks.

Lakeland Rustlers forward Ashley Parker got her team on the scoreboard unassisted in the 90th minute of the game.

It was an exciting extra time, but Ooks midfield, Tainera Oliveira, scored to seal the fate of her team.

The NAIT Ooks will be moving on to play again on Saturday, October 23rd at home.
