EDMONTON, ALTA. - The NAIT Ooks defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 3-0 in ACAC women's volleyball action on Friday night in the NAIT Gymnasium. 

In their final home game of the 2018-2019 regular season, the NAIT Ooks showed up to play. The Ooks came out flying in the first set taking it 25-18. The second set would get a lot closer, but NAIT once again came out on top in extra points 27-25. The Navy and Yellow then sealed the victory with a 25-17 third set win. 

"We were steady all night. We put a lot of service pressure on them. We played defensively and got our middles involved. I'm happy for our graduating players to get a win in their last home game," said NAIT head coach, Benj Heinrichs following the match.

The Big Picture

With the win tonight, the NAIT Ooks improve to 6-17 and remain sixth in the ACAC north division. The Lakeland Rustlers are now 19-4 and remain in second.

The two teams will now rematch tomorrow night in Lloydminster at 6:00 pm.
