EDMONTON, Alta. - The NAIT Ooks women's volleyball team fell to the Concordia Thunder 3-1 on Saturday night in their home opener.

The Ooks found themselves down early after a 25-21 first set loss. The Thunder rolled that momentum over into the second set, taking it 25-15. NAIT battled back to take the third 25-22, but that would be it, as Concordia would take the fourth set. 

"I think we were a bit lucky to come away with a split this weekend. We were having trouble staying focused on the right cues, which wasn't the case in preseason. We will work on it next week and be better for the weekend," said Ooks' head coach Benj Heinrichs.
