EDMONTON, Alta. The NAIT Ooks women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to the King's University Eagles on Saturday afternoon in the NAIT Gymnasium.
The Ooks came out ready for battle against the first place King's University Eagles on Saturday but fell short, losing in straight sets. The first set saw the Ooks rally back from a 19-14 deficit to find themselves up 24-23, but the Eagles rallied back to take it 26-24. In the second set, King's rode that momentum dominating the set 25-13. In the third and final set, NAIT fought to keep the match alive but fell just short, losing 25-23. A lone bright spot in the match for the Ooks was the play of veteran Julia Donnelly who recorded a game-high nine kills. The Ooks will now head into the Christmas break with a 4-8 record sitting sixth in the ACAC north standings.
